Suddenly, a piercing mechanical sound emanated from behind the shadow, and then its entire structure began to vibrate violently, as if some ancient and heavy mechanism had been activated. Then, the massive beam erupted again, shooting towards us. The light seemed to penetrate everything.
"Hurry!" I grabbed Qianmo's hand, realizing instantly that if we continued like this, we'd all be caught in its attack range. "Cover yourself and focus on attacking its 'eyes'. This is our only chance!"
As soon as I finished speaking, the team members adjusted their formation and concentrated their firepower. Meanwhile, I stared wide-eyed, searching for a flaw in the shadow. Finally, in the swirling air currents, I spotted one, revealing the shadow's "eyes": a translucent crystal emitting a faint glow.
"Now!" I shouted.
Everyone immediately locked onto the target, and energy beams drew bright tracks in the air, heading towards the exposed weakness.
The shadow let out a muffled growl, as if realizing our intention to attack, and instantly adjusted its posture, attempting to shield its core. But we were already on the verge of an attack, and the lost time would not be regained.
