Chapter 45 Bobby Rosa's Game Time
Chapter 45 Bobby Rosa's Game Time
"Rosa, are you... alright?" The partition looked worriedly at Rosa, who was half-dead from the weight of itself and Optimus Prime. Her wings drooped to the ground, unable to support themselves.
"It's nothing, just a little sore shoulder." I don't know if it was my imagination, but I thought I saw a wisp of smoke on Rosa's shoulder for a moment through the partition, but it disappeared. I thought I was seeing things.
That was indeed smoke, a little smoke that would appear when Rosa was healing her wounds. Rosa moved her arms and shoulders, then fully opened and stretched her wings before retracting them.
Optimus Prime was holding his gun, alert for any movement at the door. He saw Rosa finish her repairs and prepare to go find the device that Megatron had taken away. He couldn't let Megatron get it and use it to build the space bridge.
Rosa's face was furrowed beneath her mask.
The reason was simple: she noticed her body temperature was gradually rising.
At first, she used the solver to deflect bullets over a large area, then she fought close combat with a large number of Decepticons, and just now she was flying at high intensity and constantly repairing cracks. She has used up a lot of energy in her fuel tank.
Now, after her body temperature has continued to rise and then decreased slightly due to energy depletion, she urgently needs to replenish her energy...
She didn't want to use the canister of super energy in her subspace. She would use it later if she couldn't control herself in front of the Autobots. Right now, she needed to find a chance to get separated from Optimus Prime and the others.
Then she projected herself to hide and hunt down Decepticon minions to eat. She didn't want the Autobots to see her body temperature reaching a critical point and indiscriminately attacking all living beings around her.
They might even see the Autobots as something to eat, so a good impression, at least a sense of safety, is still necessary.
Rosa pondered what to do next, when Optimus Prime noticed the maintenance duct window above him...
With a "crack," Optimus Prime easily ripped open the railings blocking the pipe repair area; the pipe was just big enough for the partition to be pulled open.
Rosa stared at the pipe, and for a moment her DNA seemed to stir (not really).
Of course, the Autobots are still here, so let's not stick out our tentacles and scythes yet, lest we scare them.
Thinking this, Rosa obediently followed them as they continued climbing through the ventilation ducts, even expertly teaching them how to climb without making a sound.
Optimus Prime and Bulkhead looked at Rosa with some confusion. The meaning in the optical lens was very clear: How come you are so skilled?
Rosa didn't respond, so Optimus Prime and the partition continued forward. Suddenly, Rosa spoke up, telling them to go left.
"The last time I rescued Agent Fuller, Arcee, and Bumblebee, I also took a look at the ventilation... uh, I think it was the layout of the maintenance pipes."
Rosa's pipe layout is purely because if you remember the layout, the absolute solver can easily pierce through the people below, making it particularly convenient to set up traps.
The person on the partition was speechless. Who would bother to remember this?
-
Rosa remembered correctly; she could indeed see the Decepticon minions below through the pipes in front of the partition, and then put the stolen device into the protective shield.
After a quick exchange of information and a tactical plan inside the paint, they would first throw out some broken-down railings or similar objects to create noise.
He then jumped down and punched a henchman with a big punch, and then smashed another soldier who was running over.
After Optimus Prime went down the partition, he was ready. He jumped out and stepped on another Decepticon who was about to shoot at the partition, finishing him off. Rosa, on the other hand, shot at the last Decepticon from above, knocking him off the platform.
"Sizzle—" The Decepticon grunt, knocked off the platform, hit some device and was instantly electrocuted. After checking the surroundings and finding no other Decepticons, Optimus Prime called an ambulance.
"Ambulance, how is Laffey?" Rosa came down from the ventilation duct at this moment. However, neither the partition nor Optimus Prime noticed Rosa jumping down. She flashed for a moment as she landed and stood up.
This is fake.
"It's hard to say right now," came the reply from the ambulance.
“He will receive proper treatment.” Optimus Prime turned around and saw Rosa trying to shut down the protective mechanism.
“But I can’t help, Optimus Prime. It’s all my fault for being too arrogant. We accept humans into our lives, but I’ve rarely tried to understand their science… their medicine…” Jake’s mother, Nurse Jane Darby, was trying to stabilize Raffi’s vital signs, while the ambulance could only watch from the sidelines.
"You have to pull yourself together, old man, Laffey needs you." Hearing Optimus Prime's words, the ambulance slowly raised its head.
“Me too, I need him too…” The ambulance looked at Raffi again, “Locate my coordinates now and activate the land bridge immediately.”
Rosa has opened the protective shield and successfully allowed the partition to retrieve the device. The device is quite heavy, and Rosa should have been carrying it, but she said she used up too much strength during the flight.
So she left the device to the partition, though there were other reasons why she didn't take it.
She believed that Optimus Prime's arrival here wasn't simply for the purpose of retrieving the device. Therefore, she decided to let the partition and Optimus Prime create a misunderstanding.
When the land bridge opened, Optimus Prime did not choose to go back, but instead went to fight Megatron one-on-one. Rosa's main body stayed on the maintenance pipe and watched the scene below.
So what Optimus Prime is seeing now is Rosa following the partition into the land bridge, waving to him before she left.
The projection seen from the partition's perspective shows Rosa walking up to Optimus Prime and giving herself a thumbs-up. The partition assumed Rosa was going to stay with Optimus Prime.
“Okay.” The partition said, entering the land bridge. Optimus Prime thought that the partition’s “okay” referred to his decision to stay, but in reality, the partition meant that Rosa should also stay.
Both of them now believe they are next to each other, and a wonderful misunderstanding is born.
Next... it's time to hunt!
"I'm here to see Megatron, this has nothing to do with anyone else. Get out of my way! Anyone who gets in my way dies!" Optimus Prime, weapon in hand, walked out of the room and into the corridor. The Decepticon soldiers opposite him, unimpressed by his words, also opened fire on Optimus Prime, only to be shot away by him with a single shot.
-
Rosa activated the absolute solver mode directly in the maintenance pipeline. Countless sharp scythes, countless pliers, countless cameras, and tentacles rapidly extended, forming a dense mass, all connected to something resembling a snake bone or spine.
As the program started operating, the spine grew longer and longer, and with its countless pincers and sickles, it resembled a giant centipede.
The camera scanned left and right, then activated the projector to cover the entire entity. The pincer-like tentacles lightly touched the ground, and the giant 'centipede' slithered through the maintenance pipes. Rosa walked along, recalling the pipe layout she had seen earlier, and headed straight for the energy storage room.
