She watched with great interest and stopped paying attention to Lu Yu's affairs.
They only realized what was happening when the people below came up to ask about lunch.
"It's right here. You can arrange it as you see fit," she said calmly.
Lu Yu then added, "Bring over some red date soup."
There seemed to be another meaning behind those words, but Ji Meiqing calmly pretended not to know anything. After the door closed, the two went back to doing their own things.
Lu Yu finished calculating the thick stack of account books, then summarized before saying to her, "There are seven unaccounted-for funds here, three of which are errors, which I have already corrected. As for the funds issue, we'll have to ask the manager to see what's going on."
"Okay, you can decide." She put down the book, placed the ledger he had sorted out aside, and put the ledger she had brought earlier aside on the other side.
Everything here has been taken care of, and the food has been brought over. Ji Meiqing looked at the chicken, duck, fish and meat on the table with some confusion.
"Did you prepare these dishes yourselves?"

In the end, not much of the large table of food was eaten. Ji Meiqing couldn't eat anymore, so she had it packed up to take home.
With the matters at the restaurant settled, there was nothing else to do. As Lu Yu had said, there were still a few days until the delivery date, but it would take two days to travel from here to Jiangnan.
The Jiang family's cargo ship will dock at the port the day after tomorrow. They will transport the wine to a nearby city and then deliver it to the port.
It would take a whole day to hike from here to that city, crossing mountains and valleys.
She took a shower and rested as soon as she got back, while Lu Yu took care of the wine. He returned quite late, and by the time he came back, Ji Meiqing was already asleep.
Lu Yu tiptoed to lie down beside her, watching her sleeping face, then pulled her close and began to sleep himself.
The next day, Li Ming brought wine and knocked on the door. Granny Mei invited him in and then called Ji Meiqing and Lu Yu.

"Let's go." He tied her cloak, then put his arm around her waist and walked forward. They had breakfast on the street; Lu Yu bought steamed buns and some dry food, and also ordered a bag of lotus leaf chicken for lunch.
Ji Meiqing leaned against Lu Yu's shoulder, still half asleep, and continued to doze off.
After receiving the goods, they walked together forward, leaving the small village and heading into the mountains. Lu Yu, who had lived here before, was naturally familiar with the area, and he sat comfortably inside, taking care of Ji Meiqing as she rested.

The car suddenly stopped because of inertia, and everything inside was rushing forward, except for Lu Yu and Ji Meiqing, who remained as still as mountains.
"What's wrong?" Ji Meiqing, sensing something was amiss, woke up from his arms, looking around groggily as the car inexplicably stopped.
The next second, a voice came from outside the curtain, answering her question.
"We've encountered robbers. Young master and madam, please be careful and don't come out unless absolutely necessary."
Ji Meiqing looked at Lu Yu and felt relieved to see his calm demeanor.

"I don't know why they've come. If it's for money, that's easy to handle." He composed himself and pondered carefully.
"Come out, all of you! Come out!" Two shouts came from outside, the voices deafening, almost ruining one's ears. Lu Yu sensed something was wrong and immediately covered her ears, dispelling the hidden energy in those words.
Perhaps the people outside had noticed, as they were looking this way. Lu Yu told her to stay inside, and then lifted the curtain and went out.
"Do you want your money or your lives?"

They snorted dismissively, then, seeing that their brothers were ready to fight, they said, "I want both the money and your lives! Brothers, charge!"
The robber brandished his wounded axe, and the people around him immediately rushed forward. Lu Yu stood calmly in the middle, barely showing any fear, as if they didn't exist.
Lu Yu only moved when they got close.
Almost no one knows exactly where he is; it's as if he's vanished into thin air, leaving no trace or sense of him.
Ji Meiqing secretly lifted the curtain to peek, but she didn't expect that Lu Yu was not discovered. Instead, she exposed her target. When those people saw her, their excitement became even more intense.
"There's another one in the carriage, get him!" the leader shouted, and everyone's attention turned to Ji Meiqing. Seeing this, Lu Yu immediately went to the carriage to guard her.

"My wine!" Ji Meiqing shouted from the tree, then looked at Lu Yu, who was moving back and forth in the crowd, with fear and said worriedly, "Be careful, be careful behind you."
