Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 1031 - 1030: A Terrible Coincidence

Chapter 1031 - 1030: A Terrible Coincidence

The uninvited guest who appeared in the private room at this moment was none other than Watanabe Shinji, whom Chu Ge had just been discussing with Su Yuanzhou. An enemy on a narrow road, like a persistent haunting!

Although Chu Ge had suspected something was amiss in the room, he never expected things to be this coincidental until now.

They were just out for a meal, yet they encountered this guy again. And it happened when both he and Su Yuanzhou were not in the room, allowing this guy to slip in and take advantage of the situation.

In fact, this was truly a terrible coincidence.

That afternoon, Watanabe Shinji, under Chu Ge's hypnosis, called their gang leader Okamoto Hiroshi full of passionate enthusiasm. After confirming that Hiroshi was at a mistress's house, he rushed over.

Normally, Okamoto Hiroshi had a decent relationship with Watanabe Shinji and didn't think much of his visit, only to be stabbed in the heart unexpectedly.

As the scalding blood splashed onto Watanabe Shinji's face and disbelief echoed in the cries of two accomplices, he suddenly woke up, but Hiroshi was beyond saving.

Seeing the life rapidly fading from Okamoto Hiroshi's disbelieving face, Watanabe Shinji panicked. He had no idea why he was there or what was happening, but the bloody knife in his hand, the cries of his companions, and Hiroshi clutching his pant leg explained everything.

He had committed murder, and it was none other than the Qinghong Association's leader, the nephew of a senior Sugimura Group officer, Okamoto Hiroshi!

As Watanabe Shinji stood terror-stricken, his bloody knife nearly slipping from his grasp, the two men who came with him charged over.

Watanabe Shinji instinctively resisted, accidentally slashing one person's neck. Seeing the terror in the other's eyes as he was about to flee, Shinji realized he couldn't let him escape, quickly stabbing him in the back.

Two minutes, three lives gone.

Looking at the three lifeless bodies in pools of blood, Watanabe Shinji shakily ensured the door was locked before collapsing to the ground, filled with dread and on the brink of madness.

How did it come to this? What the hell happened?

Watanabe Shinji tried hard to recall, only remembering seeing Chu Ge and others at Gao Deyuan's entrance, exchanging a few words with Chu Ge, and then almost no memory afterward.

Though he couldn't understand what happened, he linked it all to Chu Ge, realizing he was doomed.

Neither the police nor the gang would spare him; either side finding him first meant certain death.

In near-despair, Watanabe Shinji sat on the ground for what felt like eternity, finally rising to remove the bloodstained clothes, washing the blood from his face and hands, and putting on some of Okamoto Hiroshi's clothing. He also found some cash and a gun in Hiroshi's home.

From here, it seemed his only option was to flee.

Pocketing the money and gun, Watanabe Shinji grabbed a case, stuffed the knife responsible for three deaths and his bloody clothes into it, and left the house with trembling legs.

In the aftermath of such a massive incident, he was in a state of shock.

He didn't even notice, as he walked outside, that when he walked a few dozen meters away, Okamoto Hiroshi's mistress came towards him, giving him a strange look, greeted him, and passed by.

The mistress was fortunate; had she returned a few minutes earlier, she'd not have escaped death. For Watanabe Shinji, however, it spelled disaster.

When she returned home, she witnessed a horrifying scene, leading the Qinghong Association and the police to receive the information, and quickly found the case Watanabe Shinji discarded, retrieving his fingerprints from the knife.

Initially intending to leave Kamakura directly, Watanabe Shinji soon realized the streets were crawling with police and Qinghong Association members, with tight inspections at stations.

With this discovery, Watanabe Shinji became a jittery wreck, seeing everyone as suspicious, knowing full well that while Qinghong Association might not have many full members, they had peripheral personnel.

Many of these peripheral members he didn't actually know, but since he was considered a key figure in the Qinghong Association and because of his role as a talent scout for Yibenre Company, even the peripheral members mostly recognized him.

Watanabe Shinji didn't dare to go home. He felt as though the vast world no longer had a place for him. Even when he went to a store to buy a hat, mask, fruit knife, and a change of clothes for disguise, he was prepared to either run at a moment's notice or draw a gun to kill or even kill himself.

Under such immense pressure, Watanabe Shinji was on the verge of collapse. He felt he needed to calm down, so in the evening, he sneaked into this restaurant and got a private room for himself, drinking alone in sullen silence.

Later, when he was passing by a private room on his way to the bathroom, he inadvertently overheard the laughter of some Hua Country people. Through the crack in the door, he caught a glimpse of several faces that had left an indelible impression on him over the past few days. They were Qin Ruojing, Qin Ruoying, Su Haidong, and Su Xiao.

In the instant Watanabe Shinji recognized those faces, his pupils constricted sharply. All his anxiety turned into a deep-seated resentment, feeling as though the blood in his veins was rushing to his head, his molars gnashing audibly, and veins on his forehead throbbing.

The appearance of these Hua Country people had turned his previously carefree life into chaos, reducing him to nothing more than a stray dog.

Through the crack in the door, as he looked at the people inside the room, hatred surged wildly in Watanabe Shinji's heart, accompanied by the creaking of clenched teeth and a burgeoning desire to tear these people to shreds.

However, Watanabe Shinji failed to remember that if it hadn't been for his attempt to force Su Xiao to shoot for Yibenre, if he hadn't led people to smash the small inn, or if he hadn't tried to lure Chu Ge into their territory, none of this would have happened.

People are always like this, rarely looking for the fault within themselves when caught in disadvantageous situations, especially when their vision is blinded by hatred, everything becomes more narrow-minded.

Through his clothes, Watanabe Shinji touched the gun he'd obtained from Okamoto Hiroshi and then opened the sliding door, walking in with his head lowered.

The Qin sisters and the Su siblings were having a cheerful meal, and they didn't pay attention to the door opening, assuming it was Chu Ge or Su Yuanzhou returning. However, when they instinctively turned their heads, they were momentarily stunned.

It was a man wearing a fedora, the brim so low that his face couldn't be seen.

After the initial shock, the four people in the room didn't think much of it, because mistakenly entering the wrong private room is a common occurrence. However, when Watanabe Shinji shut the sliding door behind him and turned, raising his head, the four people could no longer remain calm, their expressions froze and their hearts skipped a beat.

"If you don't want to die, you'd better stay quiet."

Before the four in the room could speak or react, Watanabe Shinji pulled the gun from inside his coat and spoke in an undeniable tone.

Although Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying couldn't understand Japanese, just by observing Watanabe Shinji's actions and the current situation, it wasn't hard for them to guess his intentions.

In an instant, the half-risen Qin Ruoying sat back down, Qin Ruojing furrowed her delicate brows, Su Haidong gulped nervously, and Su Xiao's body froze, causing the wine glass in her hand to drop onto the table, spilling its contents, spreading across the table before dripping onto her leg, cold and uncomfortable.

Faced with the dark barrel of the gun, they were understandably terrified, and what was more frightening than the gun was Watanabe Shinji's current expression and eyes.

Watanabe Shinji now appeared calm, even polite, but the subtle quivering of his eyes was evidence enough of his unstable emotions. In those eyes, there was a flare of hysterical madness.

There was no doubt that the gun in Watanabe Shinji's hand was not just for show. If they didn't comply, he would indeed fire.

The cheerful atmosphere turned incredibly tense, and even Qin Ruoying, who had always hoped for some new excitement, didn't dare move. The room became so silent that a pin drop could be heard, and everyone could clearly hear their own breathing.

Watanabe Shinji pointed the gun at each of the four people in the room, making a "bang" sound with his mouth as he did so, then mimicked blowing the gun barrel. He seemed pleased with their reactions and removed his hat with his left hand, which wasn't holding the gun, his lips curling into a slight smile.

"Where's that Chu Ge? He should be here, right?"

Watanabe Shinji asked, walking to the far corner of the room from the door, placing his hat on the floor, and sitting cross-legged.

No one answered.

Watanabe Shinji smiled again; from their expressions, he already got his answer.

Then he waited patiently until Chu Ge arrived.
