Transformers: Leader's Proof - Fragile, but Hard to Kill

Chapter 14 Baby-like Sleep

Chapter 14 Baby-like Sleep

"What! How did you...—Bang!" Rosa had just finished catching her hand when another sound came from the doorway. Looking up, she saw Red Spider lying on the floor, fast asleep like a baby, while the partition stood in the doorway, having just punched Red Spider to the ground.

"Hey guys, did I miss something?" After knocking down Red Spider at the door with a hammer, the partition revealed the scene inside the interrogation room.

It appears the rescue operation is complete.

As Rosa was about to leave, Red Spider suddenly stopped and looked at him.

“Buzz...beep? (What’s wrong?)” Bumblebee looked at her in confusion.

"Isn't it a bit inappropriate to just leave him on the ground like this?" Rosa seemed to have thought of a mischievous idea, a sly look appearing on her face. Arcee turned to look at Rosa.

"What do you want to do?" Arcee saw Rosa pick up the chain at her feet, and this time the partition and Bumblebee understood what Rosa was going to do.

"Hiss... Uh, where am I?" Red Spider woke up feeling dizzy for no reason, and the whole world was still upside down.

He struggled for a while before realizing that he was being chained upside down in the interrogation room.

"Hey! Is anyone there?!" Red Spider shouted in the interrogation room, but the soundproofing was so good that no one could hear him.

Red Spider was trying to contact someone on the inside line, but couldn't get through after trying for a long time. He turned around and found a signal jammer that had been plugged into the corner at some point.

Rosa saw it while looking for tools to secure the chain. It was probably a double insurance against some kind of information leak, so she just plugged it in.

At this moment, the Decepticon's second-in-command was deep in thought, as if someone was missing.

Hmm, who is it? It's so hard to guess.

When Optimus Prime and the ambulance returned, they saw everyone laughing.

"Huh? What's making you laugh so happily?" The ambulance driver emerged, supporting his injured arm.

When everyone saw the ambulance return injured after a trip, their smiles faded. Rosa went to help get the first-aid kit for the ambulance, while Optimus Prime bandaged its wounds.

"Oh! Hi, what happened to you guys?" Meiqi seemed to be in a good mood.

“We’ve encountered an army of Cybertronian dead,” the ambulance said, and Bumblebee and Arcee suddenly turned to look at Rosa.

What did Optimus Prime notice?

"Are they zombies?! Why haven't we seen any?" Mei-Chi was a little disappointed. Optimus Prime could tell at a glance that Mei-Chi had definitely been involved in something.

Then the partition got a scolding. Rosa tried to distract him by drawing a simple sketch of the design she had seen, which successfully diverted the attention of the ambulance Optimus Prime.

They are currently speculating whether Megatron intends to use the Dark Power to resurrect the undead army on Cybertron and then transport them to Earth via the Space Bridge.

The three little ones listened from the side, and at least nothing particularly dangerous happened this time, so things were relatively peaceful now.

So after they left, Rosa thought there was nothing more to do that day and went back to her room to rest.

It was only after seeing Rosa walk away that Arcee approached Optimus Prime. "Those zombies, if you cut off their hands, can their severed arms still move?" Arcee whispered to Optimus Prime, and Optimus Prime immediately realized what Arcee had seen.

"Buzz...beep...whoosh (Is this not a good idea?)" Bumblebee said from the side.

Optimus Prime looked at Arcee and Bumblebee and realized that something must have happened today.

“No, we cut off the zombie’s arm, and it stopped moving.” Hearing this, Arcee and Bumblebee breathed a sigh of relief, but then Optimus Prime continued to ask, “What did you see today?”

Arcee and Bumblebee exchanged a glance, hesitated for a moment, and then briefly explained to Optimus Prime what they had seen that day: the arm that could crawl in the ventilation duct, and even the severed hand that could transform into a weapon.

But Arcee didn't mention the rapid healing. Even so, Optimus Prime frowned. He glanced back in the direction Rosa had left, making sure she was indeed gone before calling an ambulance to go to his lab to discuss it.

-

“Think carefully back to what happened,” the ambulance said seriously, looking at the two of them. Arcee nodded and briefly recounted what had happened. Towards the end, even the ambulance thought they were making things up.

"Wait, are you sure Rosa didn't pick up some kind of weapon?" The ambulance looked at Arcee and Bumblebee.

“Buzz! Buzz beep beep! (No, it does seem to be a hand)” Bumblebee added from the side, but the expressions of Ratchet and Optimus Prime gradually became serious.

Arcee thought Ratchet Optimus Prime didn't believe them, but Ratchet waved.

"No, we believe you." The ambulance driver didn't say anything more.

“Rosa’s situation is rather unique, but we haven’t detected any hostility from her towards us,” Optimus Prime added. They didn’t say anything else, but those two sentences seemed to make Arcee and Bumblebee understand something.

She harbors a special secret...

silence...

“We’re waiting… for her to confess to us.” Optimus Prime’s deep voice echoed in the research lab.

Rosa harbored no ill will towards them, followed the rules, did nothing unnecessary, and made no underhanded moves. Although they couldn't rule out the possibility that Rosa might be plotting something and was just pretending, they preferred to think the best.

After all, they had taken Rosa to the Decepticon warship. If she wanted to betray the Autobots, she could have defected then and there. Perhaps Rosa really wanted to join the Autobots.

Perhaps they should give Rosa more space until the day she confesses to them herself.
