Chapter 137 Hunting Preparation
Chapter 137 Hunting Preparation
Back at the junkyard, nothing much happened. After locking the two prisoners up, they learned that Drift and Skystorm Slide were going to stay behind.
They stayed to learn teamwork and communication skills, and then officially joined Bumblebee's team.
Everyone went about their own business, but Bumblebee seemed to have thought of something and went to ask Danny if there were any abandoned obstacles or the like.
Meanwhile, Rosa was in the lobby, very curious about the Decepticon tracking chip. She lay on her "coffin" and watched as the Blackface in the Tomb of Ai's spaceship tried to locate the chip, deciding to hack into Tomb of Ai that night.
If she could secretly build a small tracking device and then crack all the chip information herself...
Perhaps then we could directly hunt down the escaped Decepticon prisoners, but we don't know if the chip is connected to their life activities.
If the prisoner's chip location also disappears after death, that would be quite troublesome. At that time, if the prisoner is not at the base, they will be the most suspicious target.
However... the disappearance of a prisoner's signal doesn't necessarily mean they're dead, right? It's quite possible that their signal was affected while they were hiding in a mine.
So if the signal goes missing, you're not really a suspect... provided they don't associate it with the idea that you can eat people.
As Rosa thought this, she lay flat on the coffin lid, supporting her upper body with her elbows, her waist and abdomen pressed against the lid, and one leg propped up and swaying back and forth.
She began to think about how to build a small detection device, how to manufacture radar, and how to find readily available wires in the junkyard.
Other materials cannot be detected during the manufacturing process, which is indeed a bit tricky. She needs to find a secluded corner to work on these... Where is that?
Rosa focused her gaze on the crashed Tomb of Ai ship in the hall, with some nooks and crannies on both sides of the ship.
Furthermore, the crashed spaceship was placed in a crevice between two hills, covered by a large iron shed, making it difficult to find. However, it was still somewhat empty, and a person suddenly disappearing could easily be discovered...
Just then, Bumblebee came over and called Rosa, wanting her to help arrange some obstacles.
That's no problem, of course, but...
"What's this?" Rosa asked, looking at the piles of obstacles beside her, including hammers that would fly over from the side.
"I was thinking of giving them an obstacle course training session tomorrow, so they can practice regularly in the future," Bumblebee said as he moved the obstacle to a smaller passageway.
Rosa nodded, used the solver to move the obstacles to the designated positions, and after a while, Steel Lock moved the remaining obstacles back, and then continued.
Everything was finished before dark, then Bumblebee went to distribute supplies to everyone, and then everyone continued to do their own thing, some chatting, and others, well, it seems, reciting the rules.
Blackface continued trying to locate the chip, while Rosa searched for materials, saying she wanted to make more radar positioning devices.
Yes, she figured it out. Instead of building it secretly, she decided to bring it out into the open, but she would have to build an extra device.
This has high power, allowing it to locate Decepticons at greater distances, but...
It needs energy to operate, and that energy source is herself. She only needs to cut herself and drip the energy into her body.
Knowing the location in an instant is enough; she doesn't need real-time positioning, and radar doesn't consume much energy.
At worst, she could save a little bit of supplies each time she received them and use it for the radar.
In this way, she was ostensibly just building another radar for the team, but in reality, she was preparing for a hunt—perfect.

It was 3 a.m. again when Rosa's built-in alarm clock woke her up. She slowly patted her forehead and turned off the alarm.
Then, the button to open the coffin lid was pressed, and a head slowly emerged from the coffin lid.
Everyone was resting, and thankfully they were all resting in other corners of the junkyard, not in the main hall... so everything was fine.
Rosa stealthily approached the wreckage of the spaceship at Ai's Tomb, directly attacking and infiltrating the site with her solver. She then proceeded to retrieve all prisoner information, including their chip data.
Hmm, that's a bit strange. She seems to have found a steel lock on the prisoner list. What's going on?
Rosa didn't want to worry about that for the time being. After copying everything, she decided to hack the land bridge as well, so she could remotely open it next time.
Then she crawled back into her coffin and went to sleep, until she woke up the next day and continued working as if nothing was wrong, finding a corner to work in.
She first assembled the necessary radar, and then began working on the ordinary radar for the Autobots.
Rosa only heard the commotion over there, so she put the radar into the subspace and went to see what was happening.
It's the obstacle test we were talking about yesterday, and it's what we're going to do today.
"Rosa, do you want to give it a try?" Bumblebee saw Rosa wagging her tail as she walked out from behind and beckoned her to come and try it too.
Rosa tilted her head and thought for a moment, then agreed, changed into her armor, and joined the ranks.
Bumblebee and Drift are not participating in this test. Blackface is still trying to locate the Decepticon prisoners, and Bumblebee is acting as the referee for this test.
Iron Fist and Sideswipe have transformed into their vehicle forms and are now taunting each other... For some reason, Rosa, having stayed this long, feels a strange sense of flirting as she watches these two argue.
Is it an illusion?
With that thought in mind, she stood at the starting line and assumed a sprinting stance.
"Ready! Run!" Bumblebee gave the order, and Sideswipe and Iron Fist immediately slammed on the gas pedal. The passage was not wide enough for her to spread her wings and fly, so she chose to run and dodge at the same time.
Rosa's speed was not slow with a jump combined with a flash, not to mention that she was strong to begin with, and the force of her jump was also great, plus she was relatively light to begin with.
But how can running compare to the two cars in front? That's where the specially prepared trap comes in – a hammer that will fall from the side.
The two cars drifted and braked sideways to avoid the flying hammer, then continued to steer forward. Rosa, who was behind, saw the flying hammer and came up with a plan.
She leaped and landed firmly on the hammer that was about to swing down.
Thanks to the design of the level where a relatively heavy object was used to fall, Rosa used the force of the falling object and flying upwards to jump again.
Flying is much faster than running. This sprint directly surpassed Iron Fist and Sideswipe. She twisted her body in the air, turned her back to the finish line, and lowered her body.
Finally, the back foot crossed the finish line first. After flying over the finish line, the heel landed, and the other slightly bent foot also landed. The hands turned into claws to grip the ground, and the whole body landed steadily and glided for a distance.
"Whoosh—" Sand flew up, and then Hengpao and Tiewan tied for second place. They didn't seem to care who was in first place; what they cared about was what was happening between the two of them.
"Isn't the scenery behind us quite something?" After both machines transformed at the same time, Sideswipe crossed its arms first and said, deliberately mocking Iron Fist.
"It's you again!" Iron Fist said, hands on hips, not to be outdone. "When we were almost at the finish line, you set your sights on my bumper!" Iron Fist said angrily, leaning closer to the disgruntled Sideswipe.
Next to cross the finish line at the same time were Tianbao and Xiaoliu. After their success, they excitedly bumped into each other and shouted, "We did it!"
Then, seeing Drift standing beside him, he quickly stood up straight, put away his playful grin, and bowed to Drift.
The last steel lock was acting strangely; his speed was much slower than before, and he wasn't as excited as he was at the finish line, walking slowly instead.
"A little slower than usual, Steel Lock, are you alright?"
Steel Lock was still stubborn, only saying that he wanted to give the newcomers, the two mini-King Kongs, a little self-respect.
Hearing this, Bumblebee didn't think much of it and even praised Steel Chain's mentality, while casually nudging Steel Chain with his elbow... although it seemed like that bump happened to land right where the obstacle had hit him earlier.
Steel. Kidney Pain. Lock
