Chapter 77 Fierce Battle with the Host

A burst of magical energy erupted from beneath Su Li's feet, and she shot away from Danny like a race car launching from a launchpad.

Even so, some of the sprayed acid still landed on Zuli.

Fortunately, Ivan had given Su Li a magic shield that blocked all the acid.

Su Li stared at the transparent magic shield, which was emitting white smoke. However, the acid contained not much magic energy and lacked sufficient kinetic energy; its acidity alone wouldn't cause much damage to the magic shield.

Ivan made a handshake from a distance, and the magic shield on Su Li's body vibrated, shaking off all the acid attached to it.

Su Li glanced at Ivan with some surprise, not expecting him to have developed such a use. "You're quite something, little brother."

Then he looked at his crystal sword with some heartache; the part of the blade that had just cut the enemy was now chipped.

Su Li angrily cursed, "What kind of stupid monster is this? It's only good for melee combat, huh?"

This monster is so tough that you'll get acid backlash when you fight it, and it will also damage your equipment. For warriors, fighting it is like wearing a mask of pain.

"Hahaha, come on, attack me!" Danny gloated as he charged toward Su Li with a maniacal laugh.

Su Li cursed under his breath, then took out his iron two-handed sword, which he hadn't used in a long time. Luckily, he was shrewd and had prepared several iron two-handed swords in his backpack in case the weapons were damaged. Su Li wasn't bothered by the corrosion of the equipment.

Su Li and Danny started fighting again. Danny was clearly a self-taught fighter, without any systematic training in cold weapon combat. His fighting style was wild and unpredictable, and could be categorized as haphazard, unorthodox.

However, his abilities are extremely effective against melee classes. Su Li was completely outmatched and unable to make any moves, which made her extremely angry.

Su Li also tried to use the Magic Energy Slash directly to sever the Kos Dream Worm parasitizing his spine.

Su Li tossed aside the greatsword, which had been corroded and turned into a one-handed sword, and took a few small steps to walk behind Danny.

He then drew another greatsword and unleashed a magic slash at Danny's gun-wielding right hand.

The magic slash swept across Danny's arm joint in an instant. Su Li frowned. Danny's hand was indeed severed, but there was no sense of cutting off a joint.

Large amounts of acid gushed out like a fountain, forcing Danny to halt his attack, which was only halfway through.

Su Li then kicked Danny in the knee, forcing him to kneel down. She then stepped on Danny's knee with one foot and on his shoulder with the other, climbing onto his head. Finally, like hitting a golf ball, she chopped off Danny's head.

Danny's head was reduced to just his chin, but his attacks didn't stop. His hook hand aimed directly at Su Li's back.

Su Li flipped backward to dodge the hook, but in that instant, she saw through Danny's true intentions.

Danny's head cross-section was undoubtedly human-shaped, while the cross-section of his arm was a green, slime-like shape.

After a moment's thought, Su Li came up with a conjecture.

"Gundam pilot, huh! (loudly) This monster's exterior is just armor, a spacesuit; the real body is inside."

Su Li narrowed her eyes and retreated to a certain distance. The air was filled with the pungent smell of acid; if it weren't for Ivan's shield, Su Li would probably be blind by now.

Su Li glanced back at Sophia and saw her saying something to Ivan. Ivan nodded indifferently and then ran towards the warehouse.

Sofia saw Zuli's gaze and gave an OK sign.

Danny's head was halved by Su Li, leaving him only able to roar like a wild beast. Su Li once again pounced on him, engaging Danny in a fierce battle.

After a minute of fighting, Su Li suddenly heard two beeps from a car horn.

Su Li glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw the forklift rushing towards her at an extremely fast speed, and inside the forklift, Ivan, a cheerful and sunny young man.

A 2-meter-long thick steel pipe is strapped to two of the forklift's teeth, making the forklift, which is charging forward, resemble a knight on the front lines.

Danny has lost his sight and is now relying entirely on the perception of the Kos Dream Worm. He only knows that someone with relatively low magical power is rushing towards him, but he can't see the modified forklift. Therefore, he mistakenly judges that the more troublesome one now is the more magically powerful Zuli.

Despite the risk of being hit head-on, Su Li used her magic slash once again, severing Danny's leg.

Danny stumbled and fell to his knees. Before he could recover, the forklift rider had already rushed over.

Ivan seized the opportunity, jumped off the vehicle, rolled twice on the ground, and landed unharmed.

The forklift's steel pipe pierced directly into Danny's body, pushing him into the wire fence.

Danny let out a roar that was inhuman.

Then, Ivan pressed the detonation button on his hand.

With a deafening roar, the bomb hidden inside the steel pipe detonated directly inside Danny's body. Danny burst out like a balloon, releasing a large amount of fluorescent green acid.

Then, the object, consisting only of the left arm, fell to the ground from the explosion.
