Chapter 888: Predicting Exam Questions

Chapter 888: Predicting Exam Questions

Mio Osborne spoke with absolute certainty.

In his mind, the one most likely to take first place in this class had always been Willow Grant, not that backdoor admit, Summer Monroe.

Teacher Sutton shook his head. "Professor Osborne, it’s not that I’m overestimating Summer Monroe, it’s that you’re underestimating her way too much."

"I..."

"Talking more is pointless." Teacher Sutton directly cut Mio Osborne off. "Once we finish grading tomorrow and the scores are out, everything will be revealed."

With that, Teacher Sutton quickened his pace and left.

Mio Osborne watched Teacher Sutton’s back, and that rock-solid certainty in his heart was inexplicably tainted with a hint of doubt.

Summer Monroe... could she really get first place?

But he quickly shook his head.

That’s absolutely impossible!

Even if Summer Monroe really did get first in the exam, she skipped the College Chinese test; once the total is added up, there’s no way she can break into the top five of the class.

After all, this is the prep class. Aside from those few who came in through the back door, every single one of them was selected from thousands, all ultra-top students.

Especially Willow Grant—back in the college entrance exam, she was the national paper’s top scorer.

Mio Osborne became even more certain, completely shaking off that trace of hesitation in his mind, and headed toward the teaching building.

...

In the classroom.

As soon as Mio Osborne and Teacher Sutton left, almost all the students in the class immediately swarmed over to Summer Monroe.

"Summer, goddess, do you remember the answers for the multiple choice questions?"

"Idiot! The whole English test is multiple choice! Ask about the cloze first, the cloze was brutal!"

"Boss, what did you choose for the first reading comprehension?"

Everyone was asking over one another. Willow Grant’s straight-man deskmate was the most straightforward: "Boss, why don’t you just write down all the answers you remember on a sheet of paper so we don’t have to keep asking one by one."

That really was the best solution.

But after saying that, the straight-man deskmate scratched his head a little sheepishly. "Of course, if you don’t want to, that’s fine too... it’s tiring to recall all the answers."

"It’s not tiring." Summer Monroe picked up her pen and quickly scribbled down all the answers to the multiple choice questions.

When she finished the test, she’d been bored and had guessed that everyone would come to her to compare answers, so she’d simply memorized them.

In less than two minutes, Summer Monroe was done writing all the answers.

"I’ll go get them photocopied!" The straight-man deskmate gave Summer Monroe a deep bow, then grabbed the slip of paper and dashed straight to the school’s copy shop.

Before long, he came back with a thick stack of copies.

He’d made fifty copies in total; everyone in the class got one, and there were still a few left over.

The extra answer sheets were placed directly on the podium.

Willow Grant had zero desire for Summer Monroe’s answers. With a complicated mood, she got up and walked out of the classroom.

The other classmates started frantically checking answers as soon as they got the sheet, so busy they didn’t even bother with lunch.

Summer Monroe called out to Holly Holloway, and the two of them headed to the school cafeteria together.

On the way, Holly couldn’t help saying excitedly, "Sadie, you’re seriously amazing! The grammar questions and essay topic you predicted for me yesterday were actually spot on! Thank goodness I reviewed those grammar points you mentioned in advance; I felt really confident about a lot of the multiple choice questions. You’re seriously incredible!"

Holly’s eyes were full of worship.

Summer Monroe gave a light smile. "That’s because the main direction of this exam’s questions was similar to Britton University’s style."

She had done quite a lot of Britton University papers and roughly knew the pattern.

Holly only grew more puzzled. "Why is it that just because the style is similar to Britton University’s, you already know roughly what types of questions will show up?"

Summer Monroe didn’t answer that. She only said, "The exam’s over, so stop thinking about it. I’ll predict the questions for the afternoon exam for you. I expect there might be some quantum mechanics content. I’ll tutor you a bit on that."

"Yes, yes, yes!" Holly Holloway nodded so hard her head was like a bobblehead doll.

However, neither of them noticed Willow Grant stepping out from another fork in the path.
