Chapter 84 Saving the Wolf Clan
Chapter 84 Saving the Wolf Clan
After being put down, Ruan Mianmian first took a few deep breaths.
She felt as if a huge rock was pressing down on her lungs, and every breath required her to exert all her strength.
Because she was trying to relieve the discomfort in her chest, breathing in the cool air now gave her a stinging sensation.
Looking at Ruan Mianmian's pale face and trembling lips, Yu was filled with worry and self-blame.
He knew he should be careful, but he didn't.
He wanted to help Ruan Mianmian, but didn't know where to start.
Ruan Mianmian bought a portable oxygen bottle from the mall, which made her feel better.
She put the oxygen tank to her lips, took a deep breath, and then slowly exhaled.
As oxygen entered her body, she felt her mind gradually clear and her strength return.
After taking several deep breaths of oxygen, the discomfort in her chest gradually subsided, and she was finally able to look at the wolf clan's territory.
It made her shudder at first sight.
In the distance, there was a white snow-capped mountain, but there was no trace of the wolf clan.
There was only a vast expanse of white snow, as if the whole world was covered in snow.
"Chief, are you feeling better?"
Yu saw Ruan Mianmian take out yet another strange thing they didn't recognize, and then saw Ruan Mianmian put it to her lips and inhale it a few times before her complexion improved. Yu knew it was something that could cure illnesses.
Although they knew it was a miracle, they didn't ask any further questions.
What belongs to the goddess definitely belongs to the goddess; no one else can covet it.
After taking a few more breaths of oxygen, Ruan Mianmian put the oxygen cylinder back into its storage space.
"I'm alright, Yu. Where are the wolves now? Did the avalanche bury them all?"
Upon seeing the snow-capped mountains, Ruan Mianmian couldn't help but ask.
"Yes, the Wolf King and a few of his people were on top of that snowdrift back then, and their people were trapped underneath. Now that you're alright, let's go up and help!" Yu said anxiously.
If he hadn't seen it, he probably wouldn't have been able to imagine how serious the situation was. But having witnessed the wolf clan's miserable state firsthand, he couldn't help but urge Ruan Mianmian on.
“Okay, let’s go there right away.” Ruan Mianmian nodded, her heart filled with worry.
She, Yu, and Sen walked quickly toward the snow-capped mountain, carefully avoiding loose snow and crevasses along the way.
When they finally arrived at the site of the avalanche, the sight before them shocked them.
Beneath the massive snowdrifts, the silhouettes of wolves could be faintly seen; they appeared to be alive, but trapped in the snow and unable to move.
The wolf king and several wolves were carefully digging through the snowdrift, not daring to make too much noise for fear of triggering a second avalanche.
Upon seeing Ruan Mianmian and the others arrive, the wolf king couldn't help but let out a mournful howl.
Ruan Mianmian felt extremely sad when she heard this.
Mori and Yu rushed over to help, but the snowstorm intensified, making their rescue efforts even more difficult.
"System, is there any way to help them?"
Ruan Mianmian couldn't help but call out to the system in her heart. Looking at the heavy snow outside, she was extremely anxious.
Faced with natural disasters, the orcs' power seemed insignificant. They could not stop the snow from falling and could only watch helplessly as their homes were submerged.
The system remained silent for a long time, seemingly deep in thought.
After a while, it spoke, "I still have some energy left, which I can use to upgrade your storage space. Once the storage space is upgraded and becomes physical, you can try to store this snow in your storage space."
Ruan Mianmian was utterly stunned when she heard this news! She was amazed at how powerful her system was, having devised such a method to solve the problem.
She asked excitedly, "Really? That's great! But won't this have any impact on the system?"
The system replied, "No, you just need to replenish your energy as soon as possible, otherwise it will affect my overall operation. After all, each upgrade is a whole, and this separate upgrade of the storage space is to help you solve your current difficulties."
Ruan Mianmian nodded, indicating that she understood.
Therefore, after the system upgraded its emergency storage space, Ruan Mianmian gained new abilities.
She first tried to collect the snow under her feet into her spatial dimension, and then, as soon as she thought of it, she instantly fell down.
Because she was standing on a snowdrift, the disappearance of the snowdrift caused her to lose her balance and fall from the sky. Fortunately, it wasn't very high, so she didn't fall too badly.
Even though she's in pain all over, she's incredibly happy because she did it.
Sen kept a close eye on Ruan Mianmian's situation, and when he noticed something unusual about her, he immediately rushed towards her.
Unfortunately, it was too late, so he could only watch helplessly as Ruan Mianmian fell down.
"Soft!"
Sen's loud shouts also attracted the wolf king and several orcs.
"Are you alright?" Sen asked anxiously as he helped Ruan Mianmian up, carefully checking her for any injuries.
"I'm fine," Ruan Mianmian said with a smile, reassuringly. "But I think I've found a way to stop the snowstorm!"
She excitedly told Sen about her abilities and explained what had just happened.
The beastmen were all surprised when they heard this.
What did they hear? The chieftain of the Eastern tribe could make the snow-capped mountains disappear? How could that be?
Sen and Yu sensed their disbelief, and after looking at Ruan Mian several times, they revealed Ruan Mianmian's identity as a goddess.
"What?" the wolf king couldn't help but exclaim.
"A goddess?" The orcs were shocked.
The elders of the tribe had passed down certain information from generation to generation, and the wolf king had heard about it when he succeeded as leader.
He had always thought that the goddess was just a legend among beastmen, but who knew that he would actually see her today.
He then thought of the leg injury that Ruan Mianmian had treated for him, and the fact that the wound healed so quickly made him even more convinced of the goddess's identity.
The wolf king was the first to react, kneeling down with a thud and respectfully saying, "Greetings, Goddess!"
Seeing this, the other orcs also knelt down.
Ruan Mianmian was somewhat at a loss; she had never imagined that her identity would cause such a huge reaction.
Sen quickly helped her up and said, "Now that everyone knows your identity, things are easier. We can discuss how to use your abilities to stop the snow disaster."
Ruan Mianmian nodded, her eyes filled with determination.
The group began to discuss the matter and ultimately decided that Ruan Mianmian would lead some orcs to the snow mountain and use her abilities to clear the snow.
A glimmer of hope rose in their hearts.
